Product Description
The Brazil French Press coffee maker, designed in the early 80's, was our first coffee maker and quickly became a symbol of what Bodum stands for. Attractive and functional design at an affordable price. The Brazil has an ultra-light, heat-resistant borosilicate glass beaker and a polypropylene handle and base, which make the Brazil easy to use and easy to clean. The 3-part stainless steel plunger has a fine mesh filter, which allows for a premium extraction of your coffeeĆ¢€™s aromatic oils and subtle flavors. A mesh filter allows this flavor to be delivered direct to your cup and not absorbed by a paper filter. Plus, no paper filter means no waste. The patented safety lid prevents the splashing of liquids while pressing. All parts are dishwasher safe. This 8-cup coffeemaker is (1.0 l, 34oz.) in size and is also available in 3-cup (0.35 l, 12 oz) size model.

Customer Reviews

Love it! (2010-05-17)
This coffee press is excellent! Coffee tastes always fresh & excellent. Dumping the ground, wet beans isn't the easiest or neatest thing to do after the pot is empty, but the inconvenience is nothing compared to a great cup of coffee!

Surpised how well it works (2010-05-13)
This is my first Coffee Press and I was fully exspecting to send it back, but to my surpise and delite I found this works as well as advertised, this makes the best coffee I've tasted, thank you Bodum....

10 years and still brewing (2010-04-29)
I've had this little french press for 10 years now (I had to think about that one a while!) Other than a slightly lopsided filter from an unlucky trip through the dishwasher, it's still good as new. Brews a smooth pot of coffee every time. Even when I am daydreaming and grind the beans too fine, it catches 99% of the grounds. No complaints on any of my bodum coffee- and tea-ware.

I lent it to a friend recently who wanted to test out french press coffee. She said it was "messy" and she couldn't get the hang of it?!?! I think maybe she was being too rough and hasty with the filter - It couldn't be easier - throw grounds in, add hot water, slosh it around a bit, put the lid on, wait a few minutes, gently press the filter down and watch your coffee burble up through it! I even add my sugar and cream to the grounds and have it all done up together...

tasty indeed (2010-04-27)
Bought this french press in preparation for a camping trip, as it turns out we now use it in the weekends too at home because the coffee comes out so good. I bought this one because it had a great price and because a coworker of mine has had it for years and it seems to have many years of life left. We're pretty happy with it.

coffee at its best (2010-04-24)
I love my coffee press! Yes, it does use a bit more coffee but it is so good it is worth it. One of my better purchases.
